Summary: To quote a poem that makes its presence known throughout this movie, "No puppet master pulls the strings on high, proportioning our parts, the tinsel and the paint, a twisted nerve, a ganglion gone awry, predestinates the sinner and the saint."

History: Martin Durnsley was always kind of a jerk. Ungrateful for his parents and apparently emotionally distant from his younger brother and especially with his step-father, he found more fun being a complete sociopath and tricking pretty ladies into liking him. Example? Try pretending to be a socially awkward and perhaps mentally-challenged individual named Georgie to impress a girl named Susan. We don't like this guy AT ALL.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing Susan's mom, Martin, his masquerade having slowly been exposed by Susan and friends, confronts her and demands that they stay together. Overcome by rejection and guilt, Martin shoots a mirror several times, claiming to have killed Martin as Georgie. The authorities arrive, send Martin to the bedlam house, and Susan presumably goes back to being with that cute Indian boy from earlier. All Martin can do is mindlessly mutter her name.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-On the punchable factor, Martin would have scored a perfect 5, because NO ONE turns having a mental dysfunction into an elaborate lie to get into a girl's pants! NO ONE!!! Somebody show this murderous sociopath the door, and pronto!

Trivia: -This film suffered a bit of controversy due to the implications that Down Syndrome was being put in a light that offended those who had it. Alas, the film's beginning explicitly says that there's a difference between being born mentally challenged and just being a sociopathic twat.

-The film's haunting whistling theme has been used several times in future movies, most notably by Quentin Tarantino in his "Kill Bill" movies.
